- Born on April 30, 1976, in the city of Kurakhove, Maryinka district, Donetsk region. He lived in the city of Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region, since childhood. He graduated from general education school No. 1 in Enerhodar, and in 2006 - from the College of Hydromelioration and Mechanization of Agriculture of the Tavria State Agrotechnical Academy (since 2007 - Tavria State Agrotechnological University) in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. From 1994 to 1996, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A2826 (the city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Volyn region). On January 26, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Enerhodar City Military Commissariat of Zaporizhzhia region. He served as a shooter in the crew of the 3rd Airborne Assault Company of the 1st Airborne Assault Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city of Zhytomyr). Since the spring of 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 5, 2015, soldier Shchurov was killed near the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, during the movement of personnel to replace the observation post of the battalion tactical group when the armored personnel carrier he was in was blown up by a mine planted by terrorists. Along with him, soldier Mykola Martyniuk, sergeant Vasyl Mykhaniuk, and soldier Yaroslav Mialkin were killed. On May 8, 2015, he was buried in the city cemetery of Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
