Vadym V. Antonov (Litachok, Samolot)

He graduated from Zhytomyr State Technological University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He actively participated in the events of the Revolution of Dignity as part of the "Mykhailivska" self-defense hundred of Euromaidan. With the beginning of the "undeclared war" in eastern Ukraine, he was involved in organizing volunteer assistance to ATO fighters, and later signed a contract to serve in the military reserve of the National Guard of Ukraine, receiving the personal call sign "Samolot" (Airplane) in the ranks of the "Donbas" battalion (because he was a namesake of the famous aircraft designer). Fellow soldiers recalled: "Every time he was in the assault group - among those who went ahead, directly under the bullets. He was a guy that the commanders even had to hold back… He, you could say, ran to liberate our land, he was in a hurry to do it. He already proved on Maidan that he was a patriot, and then he came to the "Donbas" battalion as a volunteer. He was very cheerful, full of life, he loved life so much…".
