Biography
After graduating from the Perm Higher Military Command and Logistics School of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which was completed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Yuriy served in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, holding positions as a platoon and company commander, deputy chief of staff, and deputy commander of a military unit. He later continued his service in the Main Directorate of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine. In June 2014, Colonel Boyko was appointed as the curator of the reserve special forces battalion of the National Guard "Donbas," and by the tradition of the unit, he received a personal call sign — Nemo. Having gone to the ATO area with "Donbas," Yuriy Mykolayovych actively participated in combat operations for over a month, liberating settlements in Donetsk region from terrorists. In particular, on August 10, 2014, he went into battle again with reservists who were conducting reconnaissance by combat on the approaches to the city of Ilovaisk. The "Donbas" troops managed to break into the city, destroying over 30 militants, but due to the threat of encirclement, they had to return to their initial positions.Military service
