Vitalii P. Marynych

Born on February 2, 1992, in the urban-type settlement of Rokytne, Rokytne district, Rivne region. In 2008, he graduated from the educational complex "School-Lyceum" of the urban-type settlement of Rokytne, and in 2010, he graduated from the Rokytne Professional Lyceum, obtaining the profession of "Mason, stove-maker, plasterer." From April 2010 to April 2011, he served in the mandatory military service as a mechanic in the automotive section of the logistics platoon of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (Kyiv city). From September 2012 to February 2014, he worked as a firefighter-rescuer in the 10th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Rivne region (urban-type settlement of Rokytne, Rivne region). On April 10, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 51st Separate Guards Perekop-Kharkiv Prague-Volyn Order of Lenin, twice Order of the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2331, Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Volyn region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 22, 2014, soldier Marynych was killed during an armed attack by a Russian-terrorist group on a checkpoint of Ukrainian troops near the railway station of Velyko-Anadol, close to the urban-type settlement of Olhynka in Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. On May 27, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Rokytne, Rivne region. In the urban-type settlement of Rokytne, memorial plaques have been opened in his honor on the facades of the buildings of the educational complex "School-Lyceum" (Zhovtneva Street, 8) and the 10th State Fire and Rescue Unit, where Vitaliy Marynych studied and worked.
