- Born on October 30, 1992, in the city of Derazhnia, Khmelnytskyi region. In 2008, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 3 (since 2015 - named after the Hero of Ukraine Ivan Zubkov) in the city of Derazhnia, then attended Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic College. From 2012 to 2013, he served in the 21st Separate Brigade of Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (military unit 3011, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2013, he served under contract in the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Red Banner Order of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, city of Lviv). From August 30, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 5, 2014, Senior Soldier Solomchuk was killed in a battle with Russian-terrorist groups near the village of Tsvitni Pisky in the Slovianoserbsk district of Luhansk region. Since then, he was considered missing in action. On September 12, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of Temporarily Unidentified Defenders of Ukraine at the Starobilsk Cemetery (village of Chmyrivka, Starobilsk district, Luhansk region). In February 2015, he was identified through DNA testing. On February 14, 2015, he was reburied at the cemetery in the city of Derazhnia. On May 25, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Derazhnia on the facade of general education school No. 3 named after the Hero of Ukraine Ivan Zubkov (Zavodska Street, 2), where Volodymyr Solomchuk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
