Yurii Yu. Pylypchuk

Born on May 13, 1991, in the village of Kordelivka, Kalynivka district, Vinnytsia region. In 2008, he graduated from the general education school in the village of Kordelivka, Kalynivka district. Since 2008, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2012, he graduated from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy (Lviv). Since 2012, he served in the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, Lviv). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 5, 2014, Senior Lieutenant Pylypchuk was killed in a battle with Russian-terrorist groups near the village of Tsvitni Pisky in the Slovianoserbsk district of Luhansk region. Since then, he was considered missing in action. On September 12, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of Temporarily Unidentified Defenders of Ukraine at the Starobilsk Cemetery (village of Chmyrivka, Starobilsk district, Luhansk region). He was identified through DNA testing. On September 23, 2016, he was reburied at the cemetery in the village of Kordelivka, Kalynivka district. On May 12, 2017, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Kordelivka, Kalynivka district, on the facade of the general education school (Kyivska Street, 4), where Yuriy Pylypchuk studied.
