- Born on July 28, 1978, in the village of Zavoloka, Stryzhavka district, Chernivtsi region. Graduated from the secondary school in the village of Mykhalcha, Stryzhavka district. In 1996, he was drafted for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After 5 months of service, he was discharged due to health reasons. For a long time, he worked as an ambulance driver in the city of Chernivtsi, then at a company that disposed of and removed solid household waste. Recently, he lived with his family in the village of Dubove, Stryzhavka district. In April 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 87th separate airborne battalion of the 80th separate airborne brigade of the Red Banner Order of the Red Star of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2582, city of Chernivtsi). Since May 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 17, 2014, from the city of Shchastia in the Luhansk region, a group of fighters from the 2nd company of the 87th separate airborne battalion, which included soldier Valyavskyi, left on three BTR-80 armored personnel carriers to assist the fighters of the volunteer battalion "Aidar," who were engaged in combat with Russian-terrorist groups. In the area of the village of Metalist in the Slovianoserbsk district of Luhansk region, the group of paratroopers fell into an ambush. As a result of the battle, 9 servicemen were killed, including soldier Valyavskyi. On June 22, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Zavoloka, Stryzhavka district. On May 8, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the facade of the building of the general education school (22 Heroes of Maidan Street) in the village of Mykhalcha, Stryzhavka district, where Ilya Valyavskyi studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
