- Born on August 4, 1968, in the village of Voskresenka, Buryn district, Sumy region. In 1983, he graduated from the 8th grade of secondary school No. 1 (now specialized school No. 1 named after V. Streletchenko) in the city of Sumy, and in 1985 - from high school. Since 1985, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR. He graduated from the Sumy Higher Artillery Command School named after M.V. Frunze (city of Sumy). He served in the German Democratic Republic, then in the 169th training guards Zvenigorod order of the Red Banner and Suvorov II degree center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, urban-type settlement Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region). After some time, he left military service and was discharged to the reserve. He worked as a locksmith at PJSC "Sumy Plant 'Nasosenergomash'" in the city of Sumy. In March 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 9th reactive battery of the 3rd reactive artillery division of the 27th reactive artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1476, city of Sumy). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 3, 2014, near the village of Pobeda in the Novoaidar district of Luhansk region, the base camp of the 27th reactive artillery regiment was shelled from the territory of the Russian Federation with "Smerch" multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of the shelling, 15 servicemen were killed, including Mykola Osipov. On September 9, 2014, he was buried in the Alley of Honorary Citizens of the Central Cemetery in the city of Sumy. On March 30, 2016, by the decision of the Sumy City Council, Mykola Ivanovych Osipov was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Sumy." On November 22, 2016, a memorial plaque was opened for him on the facade of specialized school No. 1 named after V.
