- Born on October 21, 1984, in the urban-type settlement of Nedryhailiv, Sumy region. Graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Nedryhailiv. Completed vocational technical school in the urban-type settlement of Nedryhailiv. Served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Volyn region). Worked at LLC "Sumyagrotech" in the urban-type settlement of Nedryhailiv. In March 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the 9th rocket battery of the 3rd rocket artillery division of the 27th rocket artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since 2015 - the 27th rocket artillery brigade - military unit A1476 - city of Sumy). Since the summer of 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 3, 2014, near the settlement of Pobeda in the Novoaidar district of Luhansk region, the base camp of the 27th rocket artillery regiment was shelled from the territory of the Russian Federation with the "Smerch" multiple rocket launcher. As a result of the shelling, 15 servicemen were killed, including Oleksandr Shovtuta.
