Order "For Courage" 1st Class

Biography
In 1994, he graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational School No. 15 with a specialty in "Driver-Auto Mechanic." From December 1, 1994, to June 18, 1996, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From February 1998, he served in the internal affairs bodies as a police officer in the patrol and post service battalion of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. In November of the same year, he took the position of a police officer in the separate rapid response police unit "Berkut" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Since April 2008, he has been the commander of a platoon in the separate special purpose police unit "Berkut" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Since September 2009, he has been an inspector in the patrol service of the patrol service company of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Since April 2010, he has been a police officer and commander of a platoon in the special purpose police unit "Berkut" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region (since March 2014, a special police unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region). He participated for over a month in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. According to the former head of Ivano-Frankivsk "Berkut," Oleksandr Nidzelsky, during the scandalously famous mass ascent to the top of Hoverla with the participation of President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko in July 2005, it was Volodymyr Sharaburyak who became one of the victims of the sudden deterioration of weather conditions: "It was very hard to work; he escorted the president to the helicopter. He had a radio station, and lightning struck it. At that moment, he practically lost his left arm, but despite this, he fulfilled his duty to the end. After that, he felt unwell, but he managed to descend. This endurance, courage, and self-control are impressive… We all wanted to marry Volodya off. We often joked that we should celebrate at his wedding. But he was a unique person…". Olha Sharaburyak, Volodymyr's mother: "Today we gathered here, in this yard, just as 24 years ago I stood here with my son, who had finished 9 grades, and I could not even imagine in my worst nightmare that I would come here today for such a terrible event. I thank everyone for coming today to honor my son, but most of all, I thank you, boys, my son's brothers-in-arms. These are not just boys; they are heroes. They have already been there three times, in that hell. They brought the body, the bones of my son, so that I could come and pay my respects at his grave. They stood under fire for 3 days and did not let those monsters approach the bodies of their comrades. And today I thank you, children. Know that I had two sons, and now you all are my sons. I want to tell you, children, go into life with your heads held high and remember that we are Ukrainians, and no evil can defeat us. Victory will be ours…".Military service
