- Born on February 23, 1992, in the city of Mena, Mena district, Chernihiv region. In 2010, he graduated from the T.G. Shevchenko General Education School in Mena, and in 2012, he graduated from the Chernihiv Professional Construction Lyceum, obtaining the profession of "Mason-Plasterer." He served his mandatory military service in the 36th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2320, village of Perevalne, Simferopol district, Autonomous Republic of Crimea). He worked as a laborer at the Limited Liability Company "Mena PACK" in Mena. On April 28, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 13th Territorial Defense Battalion of the Chernihiv region of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (restructured in November 2014 into the 13th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 1st Separate Tank Brigade - military unit field post V2278, urban-type settlement Goncharivske, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region). Since May 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 18, 2015, Sergeant Holovaty was killed by sniper fire during the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region. Until April 2015, he was listed as missing in action. On April 30, 2015, he was buried in the Central Cemetery of Mena. On August 24, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Mena on the facade of the T.G. Shevchenko General Education School (Chernihiv Highway, 11), where Maksym Holovaty studied. On October 13, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Chernihiv on the facade of the Chernihiv Professional Construction Lyceum (Peace Avenue, 247), dedicated to graduates who died during the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, among whom is the name of Maksym Holovaty.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
