- Born on August 5, 1970, in the village of Kolochava, Mizhhiria district, Zakarpattia region. Graduated from high school. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces. Lived in the village of Verbovets, Vynohradiv district, Zakarpattia region. In 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a number of the service of the 128th separate guards mountain infantry brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Participant in the battles for the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region. On February 18, 2015, Sergeant Markus, along with other soldiers, was leaving the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region, in a ZIL cargo truck. In the area of the village of Lohvynove - the urban-type settlement of Luhanske, Artemivsk (now Bakhmut) district of Donetsk region, the vehicle was hit by terrorists. Sergeant Markus was killed. Since then, he was considered missing in action. In March 2015, Viktor Markus was identified among the deceased Ukrainian soldiers. On March 13, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Verbovets, Vynohradiv district, Zakarpattia region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
