- Born on August 4, 1987, in the village of Tarandyntsi, Lubny district, Poltava region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Tarandyntsi, Lubny district, then from the vocational technical school in the city of Poltava. Served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during compulsory military service. In the spring of 2014, he was called up for partial mobilization to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 40th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 17th separate tank brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2603). Participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 17, 2015, soldier Pavlenko was killed by a gunshot wound he received during the shelling of the "Moisha" checkpoint of Ukrainian troops by Russian-terrorist groups near the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region. He was buried on April 4, 2015, in the cemetery of the village of Tarandyntsi, Lubny district, Poltava region. On August 18, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Tarandyntsi on the facade of the building of the general education school (Centralna Street, 52), where Roman Pavlenko studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
