- Born on March 11, 1987, in the village of Litovezh, Ivanichivskyi district, Volyn region. In 2004, he graduated from the general education school of the village of Litovezh, Ivanichivskyi district, then from Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University (since 2012 - Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, city of Lutsk) with a degree in "Psychology." Since 2010, he served under contract in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, city of Lviv). At the beginning of 2014, he was transferred to the 87th Separate Airborne Assault Battalion of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Order of the Red Star of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2582, city of Chernivtsi). In 2013, for 9 months, he participated in a peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since May 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 17, 2014, from the city of Shchastia, Luhansk region, a group of fighters from the 2nd company of the 87th Separate Airborne Assault Battalion, including Junior Sergeant Yakobchuk, left on three BTR-80 armored personnel carriers to assist the fighters of the volunteer battalion "Aidar," who were engaged in combat with Russian-terrorist groups. In the area of the village of Metalist, Slovianoserbskyi district, Luhansk region, the group of paratroopers was ambushed. As a result of the battle, 9 servicemen were killed, including Junior Sergeant Yakobchuk. On June 22, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Litovezh, Ivanichivskyi district. On April 2, 2015, during the 37th session of the Ivanichivskyi District Council of Volyn region, a decision was made to name the general education school of the village of Litovezh, Ivanichivskyi district, after Volodymyr Yakobchuk. In May 2015, a memorial plaque was opened in the village of Litovezh, Ivanichivskyi district, on the facade of the building of the general education school (Independence Street, 1), where Volodymyr Yakobchuk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
