- Born on March 3, 1991, in the village of Zalav'ye, Terebovlia district, Ternopil region. He studied at the general education school in the village of Zalav'ye, Terebovlia district. In 2006, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 2 in the city of Terebovlia, in 2008 - from the Prykarpattia Military Sports Lyceum in the city of Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and in 2012 - from the Faculty of Law of Ternopil National Economic University. He served under contract in the 24th Separate Mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk Berdychiv Iron Order of the October Revolution, three-time Order of the Red Banner, and the Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky brigades named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, city of Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 19, 2014, in the area of the urban-type settlement of Yampil and the village of Zakitne in the Krasnolymansky (since 2016 - Lyman) district of Donetsk region, during the execution of a combat mission, which required advancing deep into territories temporarily controlled by militants, destroying fortifications, and liberating settlements, servicemen of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade engaged in battle with Russian-terrorist groups. As a result of the battle, about 30 servicemen were injured of varying degrees of severity, and 7 servicemen were killed, including soldier Semchuk. On June 23, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Zalav'ye, Terebovlia district. On December 6, 2014, in the city of Terebovlia, a memorial plaque was opened on the facade of general education school No. 2 (Sichovykh Striltsiv Street, 23), on May 29, 2015, in the city of Nadvirna, a memorial plaque was opened on the facade of the Prykarpattia Military Sports Lyceum (Siryka Street, 1A), and on August 23, 2015, in the village of Zalav'ye, Terebovlia district, a memorial plaque was opened on the facade of the general education school (Shkilna Street, 3), where Viktor Semchuk studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
