Bohdan Yu. Khomovskyi (Danger)

"Azovets" Bohdan Khomovsky (call sign Danger) was killed at night on July 29, 2022 during a terrorist attack in the settlement of Olenivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 26 years old. Bohdan was born in the village of Dmytrivka, Kirovohrad region, in a family of historians. During his school years, he always loved to debate in history lessons. He was the initiator and participant of many military-patriotic events, campaigns, and festivals. He actively worked in the school parliament and headed the commission on military-patriotic education. After school, he entered the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University. In 2018, he joined the ranks of the separate special purpose unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". In his free time from service, he loved to spend time with his family, raise his daughter, and go fishing with friends or help them repair their cars. At the time of the full-scale invasion, Bohdan was in Mariupol and, together with his comrades-in-arms, stood up to defend Ukraine. After fierce battles on the streets of the city, he ended up at the Azovstal plant, was wounded, but continued to help his comrades-in-arms in the battles. Sergeant Bohdan Khomovsky was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine". On May 17, 2022, the Ukrainian defenders were taken prisoner and were in a prison in the temporarily occupied Olenivka. On the night of July 29, there was an explosion there, as a result of which more than 50 warriors was killed, including Bohdan. "Bohdan was an incredibly sincere person, kind, honest and fair. A real man, a steel warrior and one of the best sons of Ukraine," said the deceased's beloved Violetta. Only on April 18, 2023, the relatives were able to say goodbye to the warrior and bury him in his native village. Bohdan is survived by his relatives, friends, beloved and daughter.
