Dmytro O. Krukovskyi (Elektryk)

Senior soldier Dmytro Krukovskyi (call sign Electrician) was killed on July 29, 2022, as a result of a terrorist attack in the colony of the village of Olenivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was held captive by the Russians after leaving the Mariupol Azovstal plant. He was only 38 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He studied at the Kyiv National Aviation University, Faculty of Programming. Later, he worked as an automotive electrician. He was always interested in technology. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began, Dmytro joined the ranks of the Azov regiment. Since 2015, he lived and served in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He participated in the ATO. After the end of the contract, he remained in the city. There he met his love and planned for the future. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Electrician took up arms again. Together with his comrades from the OSSP NGU "Azov", he defended Mariupol. He was an assistant grenade launcher. After leaving Azovstal, the Russian military transported the Ukrainian defenders to the Olenivska colony, where they staged a terrorist attack on the night of July 29, 2022. Then the enemy published a list of the dead and wounded, among which was Dmytro's name. "Dmytro was a true patriot who believed in the future of Ukraine. He fought to the last and gave his life for the independence, freedom and freedom of our country!" - said the warrior's sister Lyudmyla. The fallen hero was able to be bid farewell only on June 7, 2023. Dmytro was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Sukhyi Yar cemetery in his native Bila Tserkva. The warrior is survived by his parents, sister, daughter and fiancée.
