- Born on July 23, 1992, in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. Graduated from general education school No. 5 in Shostka. In 2012, graduated from the Ivan Kozhedub Chemical Technology College of the Shostka Institute of Sumy State University and obtained the qualification of junior specialist - electrical technician. Studied in the IV year at Sumy State University. After graduating from college, he worked for some time at the Fastiv Chemical Engineering Plant "Red October" in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region, then - until January 2014 at the State Scientific Research Institute of Chemical Products in Shostka, Sumy region. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. From February to July 2014, he worked as an electrician at the Shostka Bread Factory. In August 2014, he voluntarily joined the UNSO battalion (Ukrainian Nationalist Self-Defense). Call sign "Lyashko". He underwent a one-and-a-half-month military training course at the UNSO camp, after which his unit joined the 54th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On October 8, 2014, he was contracted for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From October 8 to November 30, 2014, he served as a gunner in the 54th Separate Guards Reconnaissance Prut-Pomeranian Battalion of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2803 - city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). From December 1, 2014, he served as a gunner in the 1st reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V4745 - city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region). Since January 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 20, 2015, during a combat mission near the "Donetsk" international airport, a group of fighters, including soldier Yevdokymenko, was ambushed and engaged in battle with Russian mercenaries. During the fight, despite sustaining injuries, Ivan Yevdokymenko did not release his weapon and covered the retreat of his comrades until the end. Until April 2015, he was listed as missing, and after a DNA examination, it was established that he was buried as an unknown soldier in the city of Dnipropetrovsk. On May 15, 2015, he was reburied at the cemetery of the Artemivsk (now Sadovyi) microdistrict of Shostka. On October 13, 2015, in the city of Shostka, memorial plaques were installed on the facades of general education school No. 5 (Mарат Street, 24A) and the Ivan Kozhedub Chemical Technology College (Institute Street, 1), where Ivan Yevdokymenko studied. On May 19, 2016, by the order of the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, a decision was made to rename Engel's Street in Shostka to Ivan Yevdokymenko Street.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
