- Born on September 30, 1992, in the village of Lypovets, Kagarlyk district, Kyiv region. Graduated from a general education school, in 2011 - Kyiv Regional Higher Vocational School of Food Technology and Restaurant Service (Kyiv city). In March 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sniper in the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Boroda". From November 2014, he was a participant in the defense of Donetsk International Airport, where he was on rotation twice. On December 30, 2014, he entered the territory of the new terminal of Donetsk International Airport for the second time. In the second decade of January 2015, he was supposed to leave the airport for rotation, but he gave up his place to the wounded. On January 20, 2015, Senior Soldier Olefir was killed after the second floor of the new terminal of Donetsk International Airport was blown up by Russian-terrorist groups. Since then, Oleksandr Olefir was considered missing in action. His body was found under the rubble only on March 26, 2015. Identified through DNA testing.
