  Killed in action on January 20, 2015, during the rotation at Donetsk airport. Oleksandr was delivering reinforcements to the airport and picking up the wounded from there when his MTLB was hit.

  Born on September 14, 1979, in the village of Pryhorodok, Khotyn district, Chernivtsi region. Later, the family moved to the village of Anadol, Khotyn district. In 1994, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in Anadol, then attended the "Mechanization of Agriculture" department of the Khotyn Agricultural College (now the Khotyn College of the Podilsk State Agrarian and Technical University) and received a diploma as a mechanical engineer. He served in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine during his compulsory military service. In July 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (now the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He was buried on June 18, 2015, in the cemetery of the village of Anadol, Khotyn district, Chernivtsi region.
