- Born on February 17, 1981, in the village of Samhorodok, Koziatyn district, Vinnytsia region. In 1998, he graduated from the general education school in the village of Samhorodok. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On August 23, 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 90th separate airborne battalion of the 95th separate airborne brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since the fall of 2014, the 90th separate airborne battalion has been part of the 81st separate airborne brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - military unit field post V1611, city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region). Since November 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Yesaul". Participant in the defense of the International Airport "Donetsk". On January 18, 2015, he participated in the operation to unblock the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that were defending Donetsk Airport. During this operation, to reinforce the defense of the airport, a reserve unit was introduced to the new terminal, which included sergeant Osauko. On January 20, 2015, sergeant Osauko died under the rubble as a result of the explosion of the second floor of the International Airport "Donetsk" by Russian-terrorist groups. Since then, he was considered missing in action. Only in May 2015 was the body of Yurii Osauko identified through DNA testing. On May 21, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Samhorodok, Koziatyn district. On January 17, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Samhorodok, Koziatyn district, on the facade of the general education school (26 Myru Street), where Yurii Osauko studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
