- Born on March 30, 1983, in the village of Khmelishche, Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region. Graduated from a general education school. Served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during compulsory military service. In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 90th Separate Airborne Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since the fall of 2014, the 90th Separate Airborne Battalion has been part of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - military unit field post V1611, city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region). Since November 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Molot". On January 20, 2015, the paratroopers of the 90th Separate Airborne Battalion left on three MT-LB transporters to the new terminal of Donetsk International Airport for the rotation of personnel and the evacuation of the wounded. In conditions of dense fog and lack of communication, which was "jammed" by Russian armed formations, the transporter leading the column, in which soldier Pytel was located, passed the airport building and ended up near the agrocenter, resulting in being shelled by militants. During the battle, soldier Pytel was killed. Along with him, medical service lieutenant Kondratiuk, sergeant Marchenko, junior sergeant Chernysh, and junior sergeant Alekseichuk were killed. On February 1, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Khmelishche, Berdychiv district. On February 20, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the house (10th Five-Year Plan Lane, 8-a, building 6) in the city of Berdychiv, where Oleksandr Pytel lived. On June 25, 2015, during the 66th session of the Berdychiv City Council, a decision was made to rename the street and lane of the 10th Five-Year Plan to Oleksandr Pytel Street.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
