Dmytro S. Skliarov (Skliar)

Born on July 27, 1983, in the city of Volgograd (Russian Federation). In childhood, he moved with his parents to the Litinsky district of Vinnytsia region. In 2000, he graduated from the general education school in the village of Zhuravne, Litinsky district, then from the Ladyzhyn Agrarian Technical School of Vinnytsia State Agrarian University (now the Ladyzhyn College of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, city of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region). He served his mandatory military service in the 80th Separate Airborne Order of the Red Banner Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, city of Lviv). In 2004, during his mandatory service, he participated in a peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Iraq. In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Order of the Red Banner Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, city of Lviv). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Sklyar". Participant in the defense of Donetsk International Airport. On January 20, 2015, Junior Sergeant Sklyar went missing after the Russian-terrorist groups blew up the second floor of the new terminal of Donetsk International Airport. He was identified through DNA testing. On April 8, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Zhuravne, Litinsky district. On February 19, 2016, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Zhuravne, Litinsky district, on the facade of the general education school (Lenin Street, 29), where Dmytro Sklyar studied.
