Biography
Ivan Ivanovich Zubkov was born on November 1, 1973, in the city of Derazhnya, Khmelnytskyi region. Until 1987, he studied at secondary school No. 2, and in 1991, he graduated from secondary school No. 3 in Derazhnya. In 1991, he entered the Lviv Higher Military-Political School of the Order of the Red Banner. He studied in a company that trained specialists for the Navy. After the liquidation of this unit, he was transferred to the Kyiv Higher Naval School, which he graduated from in 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he served in the 19th Rocket Zaporizhzhia Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (now the 19th Separate Rocket Brigade, military unit 33874, in Khmelnytskyi). In 1998, he was discharged into the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and worked for some time as a commercial director of one of the enterprises in Khmelnytskyi, later becoming a private entrepreneur. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, being present at the capital's Maidan Nezalezhnosti. In August 2014, as a volunteer, he was called up for military service during mobilization and served in the 90th Separate Airborne Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since the fall of 2014, the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Forces of Ukraine, military unit field post V1611, in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region). Since November 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He was involved in the defense of the international airport "Donetsk." From December 28, 2014, he was at home in Khmelnytskyi on a 10-day leave, after which he immediately returned to the ATO zone. On January 18, 2015, he participated in the operation to unblock the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending Donetsk airport. Through decisive actions and skilled leadership of the subordinate personnel, he ensured the breakthrough of terrorist positions, allowing a reserve unit to be introduced into the new terminal to reinforce the defense. During the offensive of Russian-terrorist groups on the airport, which resulted in their consolidation in some of its parts, Senior Lieutenant Zubkov organized a counteroffensive and ensured the restoration of control over the new terminal, organizing the evacuation of the wounded. On January 19, 2015, during the fighting for the airport, he was wounded in the arm but continued to command the defense of the new terminal with a weapon in hand. On January 20, 2015, Senior Lieutenant Zubkov, covering the withdrawal of the unit, died under the rubble due to the explosion of the second floor of the airport by Russian-terrorist groups. Since then, he was considered missing in action. Only in April 2015 was Ivan Zubkov's body identified through DNA testing. On April 30, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the city of Derazhnya, Khmelnytskyi region.Military service

- Two days before Easter, Good Friday, Spring was so beautiful then, And the war had been going on in Ukraine for a year, She took away the best sons. And we should rejoice and pray, The rays of the sun warmed so kindly, And the holiday of faith in the miracle of the resurrection Inexorably quickly approached. All around smelled of baking and the holiday, All the curbs were whitewashed, Cats were already warming their whiskers … and people, Happy cleaned everything around. Good Friday, the 15th year, How terrible you were then, And still the soul does not accept the fact, That it was the limit of indolence. Everything around seemed like a mockery! How can the day be beautiful and spring, How can there be a miracle of resurrection, When it has already become certain, It is known that you are not with us. That you do not come, and do not say, I am back, You won't smile and hug everyone, That the phone won't ring again, Because the caller is forever outside the zone. Three months gave us hope, Three months are like a milestone of a whole life. And on the day designated for faith in salvation, We found out for sure that you are gone. War, the airport, streams of blood and tears, Everything changed, life has changed course. And it's a pity about the holiday, which no longer brings happiness - It's a pity that the faith in miracles cannot be returned. But the most pity, in a country, That meets the third spring in war, There are people who believe - it is not theirs, There is no war, it will pass by themfrom the Stasiuk family
- He became a hero. He was like the sun: bright and hot, He was bubbling with life and inspired others. Military profession and restless character And during his life he became a "cyborg". And August, before that was August. He drove with home for my own to the East. For Ukraine - unbearably sick, That lays its sons in the ground every day. "There are my boys, there are my boys! I am an officer! I cannot be at home. But also these eyes - daughters of my eyes! I go to fight for their fate". There was January, battle, fire - the sky is not visible, A small fragment chilled the soul. And the senior lieutenant held himself with dignity, Because he is twice a "cyborg" - a commander. But could not stand Donetsk airport fell. And with him - defenders. Ivan Ivanovich… Son, where are you? There is no trace. Only fears. Maybe in captivity? I wish I hadn't died… Still alive! We just didn't find it… Father, mother and wife are looking for it Friends are looking for it - not everyone can find it. It's already spring. It blooms with the flower of April. Ivan Zubkov in Derazhn. The people are standing. With bowed heads and tears, the children are nowhere, And our defender lies in the coffin. He, brave, did not know his fate, But he will remain in people's memory. At forty-one. Fearless in battle Although he died, he became a HeroSvitlana Lytvyn
- To Ivan Zubkov. Well, what can I say - words are probably superfluous… Poems are not needed and we will sing. A tear flows in the sad silence, And the pain froze in my throat like a burden. We stood for freedom on the Maidan, We all wanted something better life. Side by side, we seemed invincible - For Ukraine, a bright future! Then the war… I went to the first ranks To protect the peace, to the death of the horde. But the sky fell like hail on those shoulders, The earth was covered with golden dreams… I wanted victory, with a burning soul, And here you are at home… Oh, how the soul hurts! And the sunset behind the bloody border, And a view from the captivity of gray slabs… There are no words. … You know how difficult it is for us… And sorrow will not utter all the words… We have lost a hero, but your children have lost a father. And Ukraine is still aliveNatalia Mondra
