Biography
In 1986, he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Higher Military-Political Tank and Artillery School, in 1997 — from the Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine, and in 2006 — from the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. Since 1986, he served in the Central Asian Border District of the KGB of the USSR. Since June 1992, he has been in the border troops of Ukraine. On December 12, 2007, he headed the training center for junior specialists of the State Border Service of Ukraine. On May 31, 2014, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine. He has been awarded: the Order of the Red Banner (March 7, 1989), the Order "For Service to the Fatherland" III class, the Medal "For Combat Merits" (January 6, 1988), the Medal "70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR" (February 23, 1988), two Medals "For Distinction in the Protection of the State Border" (April 2, 1988, and February 1990), the Medal "Defender of the Fatherland" (October 14, 1999), the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class (May 25, 2009). According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 761/2014, the name of Major General Ihor Momot has been assigned to the training center for junior specialists of the State Border Service of Ukraine, named after the Guards Orshansky Orders of Suvorov, Kutuzov, and Alexander Nevsky.Military service
