- Born on September 24, 1975, in the village of Loshchynivka (now the village of Bernadivka) in the Terbovlia district of the Ternopil region. In 1992, he graduated from the sanatorium general education boarding school in the urban-type settlement of Hrymailiv, Husiatyn district, Ternopil region, and in 1995, he graduated from Ternopil Higher Vocational School No. 4 named after Mykhailo Parashchuk, obtaining the profession of "Construction carpenter, parquet layer." He worked at the Ternopil furniture factory. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk Berdychiv Iron Order of the October Revolution, three-time Order of the Red Banner, and Orders of Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky Brigade named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 11, 2014, in the area of the village of Zelenopillya in the Sverdlovsk (since 2016 - Dovzhansky) district of Luhansk region, around 4:30 AM, Russian-terrorist groups shelled the base camp of Ukrainian troops with BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, 7 servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and 30 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed, including Mykola Rusnak. On August 2, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Verkhovtsi, Husiatyn district, Ternopil region. In June 2015, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the building of the sanatorium general education boarding school (Orlyk Street, 10) in the urban-type settlement of Hrymailiv, where Mykola Rusnak studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
