Vilhelm V. Shtoltsel

Born on May 25, 1992, in the city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region. Graduated from specialized school No. 4 in Mukachevo, and in 2013 - Uzhhorod National University. From April 11, 2014, he served in the military under contract as a cadet of the 7th training group of the 3rd department for training junior specialists at the Training Center for Junior Specialists of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (now named after Major General Ihor Momot - military unit 9930, village of Orshanytsia, Sosnivka district of Cherkasy city). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 11, 2014, in the area of the village of Zelenopillya in the Sverdlovsk (since 2016 - Dovzhansky) district of Luhansk region, around 4:30 AM, Russian-terrorist groups shelled the base camp of Ukrainian troops with BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, 30 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 7 servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were killed, including soldier Shtoltsel. On July 15, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of Mukachevo. On July 31, 2014, during the 62nd session of the 6th convocation of the Mukachevo City Council, a decision was made to rename Bakunin Street and to name the alley in the area of Herzen-Bakunin streets in Mukachevo after Wilhelm Shtoltsel.
