- Born on March 23, 1984, in the village of Velykosilky, Kam'yanka-Buzka district, Lviv region. In 2001, he graduated from the general education school of the village of Velykosilky. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk Berdychiv Iron Order of the October Revolution, three-time Order of the Red Banner, and Orders of Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky Brigade named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 11, 2014, in the area of the village of Zelenopillya, Sverdlovsk (since 2016 - Dovzhansky) district of Luhansk region, around 4:30 in the morning, Russian-terrorist groups shelled the base camp of Ukrainian troops with BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, 7 servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and 30 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed, including Volodymyr Shpyrka. On July 18, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Velykosilky, Kam'yanka-Buzka district. In June 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Velykosilky on the facade of the general education school (Centralna Street, 8), where Volodymyr Shpyrka studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
