Taras I. Mysyk

Born on April 10, 1984, in the city of Novoyavorivsk, Yavoriv District, Lviv Region. In 2001, he graduated from general education school No. 3 in Novoyavorivsk, and in 2006, he graduated from the Department of Electrical Machines and Apparatus at the Institute of Energy and Control Systems of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic." He worked at the separate subdivision "Lviv Main Electric Networks" of the Western Electric Power System of the state enterprise "National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo'." In May 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk Berdychiv Iron Order of the October Revolution, three-time Order of the Red Banner, Orders of Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky Brigade named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, city of Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 11, 2014, in the area of the village of Zelenopillya, Sverdlovsk (since 2016 - Dovzhansky) district of Luhansk region, around 4:30 a.m., Russian-terrorist groups shelled the base camp of Ukrainian troops with BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, 7 servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and 30 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed, including soldier Mysyk. He was buried on July 18, 2014, at the cemetery in the city of Novoyavorivsk.
